Umar Akmal Out, BPL 2016

There is something seriously wrong with Umar Akmal. This is the third game he is playing and he has not scored a thing yet. Umar Akmal has not made it into the double figures in any of the game. Today he has faced the oddest decision in the BPL so far.

Al Amin was the bowler here. Now this ball was hit in the middle of the pitch and climbed onto Umar Akmal. It hit Umar above the pads and now Al Amin did not even try to make an appeal. He was busy in watching the ball.

Now somehow the umpire thought that he should give this one out. We can see that the wicket keeper did make an appeal but that was no way near to be called a strong one. When the umpire raised his finger Umar Akmal was shocked.

He could not believe what he just say. This was a rally poor decision. There is no doubt about it. The ball was missing everything and yet it was given out. This is not a good umpiring by the umpire here. Umar Akmal did not protest but he was not happy at all. Remember that Umar Akmal is the highest paid overseas player in this edition of BPL. His performances would matter for his team.
