Shahid Afridi gets McCullum first ball, BPL 2017
Shahid Afridi has done it again. Despite being penalized by the mighty Chris Gayle he made sure that he still strikes for the Dhaka Dynamites and this is him here taking out Brendon McCullum on the first ball. Though it was not the first ball that Afridi bowled in the match. It was the first ball that he bowled to the New Zealand master blaster McCullum. It was a wrong one.
McCullum clearly missed the trick here. He was expecting the ball to turn away from him. The shot from him was a strange one though. He was sweeping the ball outside the off stump which was rash because Afridi is that kind of a bowler who does not give you much to sweep he bowls the ball really faster and hence you have to be on you mark as a batsman. Afridi really hit the mark here and this is his experience here. He knows the game really well.
The ball went past the ball and came in towards the stumps. Now the ball went in and hit the wickets. There it was McCullum done and dusted here. This was a clean moment for Afridi. He made his comeback in the match here. He could not get the mighty Gayle but surely did the job with the kiwi batter here. The best part is that Afridi did celebrate the wicket as well. He knew the importance of this wicket and hence he was seen celebrating it in his trademark style. Afridi had his hands up though not for a long time as the fielders were soon all around him.
